When you invest with Zevin Asset Management through our partnership with Foliofn Investments (Folio), you have your own portfolio of stocks and fixed-income securities. Depending on your needs and objectives, your account mirrors one of three Zevin Asset Management portfolios, selected based on your individual investment goals. Unlike a mutual fund, the stocks in your Folio account are owned directly by you and are registered in your name while we make investment decisions on your behalf.
The securities chosen for your account are based on our research into how stocks, bonds, and other assets may perform in various economic and market scenarios. We determine how assets should be allocated among sectors and regions to reduce risk, and then select individual securities. Throughout this process we apply our principles of socially responsible investing.
While Zevin Asset Management will be your primary point of contact, Folio will be your custodian and maintain separate and independent records of all important account information and provide online access to statements, confirmations, tax documents, and transaction history. Your account will not be subjected to any lock-ups; you will have full flexibility to add or withdraw money from your account at any time.
FOLIOfn Investments, Inc. (Folio), was founded in 1999 by a former Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). Folio provides custody and brokerage services for billions of dollars of investor assets. As your broker, Folio maintains separate and independent records of all important account information and provides online access to statements, confirmations, tax documents, and transaction history.
